#TheSundayNailBattle - Back to School Nails

This week's theme for the Sunday Nail Battle is "Back to school Nails".

I've been thinking about what I was going to do for a while and I first wanted to draw some lines on my nails to do a kind of lined paper effect.
But as I was preparing my stuff to do the mani, I remembered that there was another course at school where we had to use a different kind of lined paper, which was music.

So here's what I did :

Can't wait to see the ideas people had for this battle!!

Good luck for those of you who are going back to school!

The Sunday Nail Battle - Skulls and Bones

This sunday's nail battle theme is "Skulls and Bones". And for this battle Odile and Andreia decided that we had to use at least black and white polishes.

So I put two coats of Essie's Blanc on my nails, and then I used my mat velvet top coat from Chanel to have a matte finish. I wanted to do a kind of french bones thing, which litterally means nothing but I think you'll understand when seing the pictures.

I also used two stamping plates for the skulls and here's the result :

And because you're a skull doesn't mean you can't be a princess, so I decided to add a little crown :

It's pretty simple, but I like how it looks :)

What do you think about it?

Bye!!

How to Rock White Nails !

White polish. Some of you may not like to wear a simple white polish on their nails, which I can understand. In fact, it makes me think of the correction fluid we had in high-school. You know, this white fluid which looked just like nail polish and we liked to apply on our nails when we were younger? I also love to think that we invented neons polishes as we also liked to cover our white nails with some fluorescent pen... Hum.

Back to what I was saying, personally I love white polish. Wether it's matte or not I love it! What I like to do, is to draw some flower petals with my Del Sol polishes and trace the contours with a black nail art polish.

And when you got outside with your pretty nails, let the magic begin!

Something pretty simple to achieve and I love it!

What do you think about it? Do you like wearing white polish?

Bye!

Thursday, it's Ok!

Last week I already showed you a black & white stamping and I decided to try it again this week!
And today I didn't have to remove everything because I wasn't completely pleased with my nails.
What's really great in working in the IT domain is that even if you sometimes have to deal with some withdrawn people or narrow-minded people, you also have the chance of working with very open-minded people that will encourage you to be creative and won't judge you just because you like to spend time painting your nails!
What I like even more is to be complimented by some men who usually think that doing your nails is just a waste of time. Not that I don't like when the compliments come from women, but it feels a little different!!
So let's go back to this stamping! After putting a base, I put 2 coats of Essie's Blanc, a pure white. I put a matte top coat and then I stamped with my black Konad polish. I found this design on the plate BM-221.

I really like how the black flowers show up very well on the white base. And I didn't mess my forefinger so everything is alright!! I'm all prepped for work now!

Lately I've been focusing on stamping because when I'm travelling it's really easy to bring what I need to stamp. But promise, next week I'll try my best to show you something different!
