My Vuitton Nails

Hey girls!

I'm back today with some pretty cool nails! Thanks to Spellbinding Nails, I've won some great stamping plates that I was willing to buy. Particularly the FUN2 plate from Fab Ur Nails. And the first design I wanted to try is the Louis Vuitton one. To do something similar to the well-known purse motif, I applied two coats of Bourjois Brun Laqué. And I used Essie Good as Gold for the stamping!

I can't afford a Vuitton purse, but at least I have some pretty awesome Vuitton nails! 

About the plate, I was impressed by the quality of the designs. They transfer very well, and they are very detailed.

#TheSundayNailBattle - Fall Nails

How are you doing? I just came from Lady Gaga's show in Paris. It was so amazing. I'm so glad that I was lucky enough to attend her show!!

So this weeks theme chosen by Andreia and Odile is fall. And we had to use some orange. So I took my Fear or Desire and stamped it with some falling leaves! And here's the result :

Essie - Navigate Her

Hey there!

Today, I'm doing this quick post to show you some stamping I did over Essie Navigate Her :)

This polish is part of a swap I did with my dear Amina, and I'm so thankful !! This polish is amazing and I just love the color!!

So here it is :

I used the BM-310 plate from Bundle Monster's latest set of plates, and I love this design! I find it so classy!

The Sunday Nail Battle - Braided Nails

Let's go for this new Sunday Nail Battle!!

The theme chosen by Odile et Andreia for this week's Sunday Nail Battle is "Braided Nails". We also have to use only three colors to achieve this mani.

I love the braided nails design. I've been watching Cutepolish videos on Youtube for a while now, and lately when I saw her Braided Nails video, I told myself that I had to try this technique!!

So I followed her step by step video, and I did my braided nails with these three colors :

• Essie - Nothing Else Metals
• American Apparel - Neon Violet
• Color Club - Warhol

I'm happy and proud with the result of my first attempt at doing braided nails. It was pretty simple to achieve and I think that it's a quite simple way to have pretty nails.

Duri Miracote - My new top coat

Here are my NOTD : I put 2 coats of American Apparel's Neon Violet and I stamped with Nothing Else Metals from Essie and the BM-315 stamping plate.

I love it! But today I'm here to talk to you about the top coat I used here which is the Miracote from Duri. And I've got to tell you that this one is way better than Sèche-Vite. You may not believe it but it is! Not only it dries faster, it also smells way better. I couldn't handle the strong smell of Sèche Vite anymore. And it's way more fluid, and less toxic as it's a 3-Free top coat! 

Good To Go was my all-time favorite top coat but I was a little bit disappointed because it's consistency changed. Plus this one is less expensive. I bought it for 4,25$ on eBay..!

Have you ever tried this top coat? What do you think about it? If you want a good alternative to Sèche Vite you should give it a try!!

Green Dots

Hey there!

Yesterday you may have seen the content of the summer swap I got, and you may have noticed that I got Essie's Navigate Her. I wanted to combine it to Mojito Madness.

So I put two coats of Navigate Her as a base and then with my dotting tools, I dotted with Mojito Madness, a black polish and OPI's Did It On 'Em. Here's the result :

What do you think about it? Do you like green?

Graffiti Nails

Today I wanted to try to recreate a design that Algae Veronica has done. She's a nail-artist doing some really great things. She's so creative and I absolutely love everything she does. Even if I judge some designs not wearable on my nails, she has really great ideas and I love how she plays with colors, how she mixes them and how she matches them.

Her Graffiti Nails are really cool, so cool that she did a tutorial on how to achieve this nail art on Youtube here.

So here's me trying to do the same on my nails :

I absolutely love how it looks. All these colors make me so happy, and it's not that complicated to do. Doing my right hand was a little bit more tricky, but the result is quite symetrical !! So I'm good with that!

I also wanted to show you something that I've bought at Sephora that I thought would be great to try, but that I eventually regretted buying.

It's supposed to help you when you put your polish on your nails. Well, I tried to use it but I ended up doing one nail with it, and finishing my other nails without it. I can't find the right position, and when you have short nails it's not pracitical at all. So not that useful after all. This thing cost me 4,95€.

Today I'm so proud to show off my nails, and I can't wait to know what my co-workers will think about them ;)

Thursday, it's Ok!

Last week I already showed you a black & white stamping and I decided to try it again this week!

And today I didn't have to remove everything because I wasn't completely pleased with my nails.

What's really great in working in the IT domain is that even if you sometimes have to deal with some withdrawn people or narrow-minded people, you also have the chance of working with very open-minded people that will encourage you to be creative and won't judge you just because you like to spend time painting your nails!

What I like even more is to be complimented by some men who usually think that doing your nails is just a waste of time. Not that I don't like when the compliments come from women, but it feels a little different!!

So let's go back to this stamping! After putting a base, I put 2 coats of Essie's Blanc, a pure white. I put a matte top coat and then I stamped with my black Konad polish. I found this design on the plate BM-221.

I really like how the black flowers show up very well on the white base. And I didn't mess my forefinger so everything is alright!! I'm all prepped for work now!

Lately I've been focusing on stamping because when I'm travelling it's really easy to bring what I need to stamp. But promise, next week I'll try my best to show you something different!

Colorful Stamping

This is going to be a really quick post, like most of them recently, but I'm just overwhelmed at work!! I'm writing this little post from my hotel room in Paris, where I had to go for professional meetings.

My idea was to do something really colorful to stand with the black and the white that you have to wear when you go to such meetings.

So I decided to go for some stamping as it's pretty easy to do for a really nice effect. I chose a design from the BM-319 plate.

I'd like to tell you how sorry I am for how my forefinger is looking. I really don't like posting such bad pictures, but as I don't have everything I need to clean up my nails like I should, I didn't manage to recover a nice nail. Plus, when I'm stamping with black polish, my forefinger is the most difficult finger to clean. The black sticks into my cuticules and it's such a mess... Even when I'm using a brush with pure acetone.. I don't know why! But if you have some tips on how to remove the excess of black polish when you're stamping, I'd be very grateful!!!

To be honest with you, I was so obsessed with how bad this finger looked that I removed the entire mani, and went for 2 simple coats of Saint George. Fast and classy. Perfect!!

Gradient & Stamping

Hey there!

Today, it's going to be a quick post as I have a lot of work, and stuff to prepare before going on travel for work. 

Yesterday, I didn't want to remove the gradient from my nails, but I still wanted something different. So I decided to stamp my nails with one of the designs of the new BM plates. 

Here's a quick way to change your mani and have different nails almost effortlessly. I like doing this when I don't have much time to do my nails.

What do you do in this case? Would you rather have nothing on your nails, or wear a simple mani?

The Sunday Nail Battle - Gradient Nails

Sunday Nail Battle tiiiiime!! This week theme is Gradient Nails, theme chosen by Andreia and Odile. If you want more info on what the sunday battle is you can go to my SNB page!  

I love doing gradients on my nails. I wanted to try this gradient with a combo of three Essie colors I already tried with my tirangles nails : Splash of Grenadine, Jam N'Jelly, and Nothing Else Metals.

In fact starting from the base to the top coat, I used only Essie products! And for the gradient I didn't use make-up sponges, I used traditionnal sponges that didn't cost me much.

I really like how these three colors work together and I think I think it works thanks to the hint of pink that's in Nothing Else Metals !

Lucky Mojito

This color is one of the rarest colors of my collection that I've never had before. I don't know why but I've never bought green polishes. When I say green I mean really green! I have some dark green polishes, but they never were as green as this one!

When I saw it, I knew I had to give it try. This one is Mojito Madness from Essie.

When I think of green, I think of luck, of a four-leaf clover. And when I think of luck, I think of chance, and therefore of numbers (like lotery for example).

Mixing numbers and my green polish felt natural, so I took my new BM plates, and went for this design.

I really love this color, it's a really nice green that I like to put on my nails. From now on, I'll be giving a little more consideration to green polishes.

Booom Pooow

Hey girls!

Today I wanted to show a quick and nice mani I wore at work this week.

When I don't want to spend too much time on my nails, I either apply 2 coats of my favorite polish and add something on my ring finger to make it pop, or I try to find something easy to do like this mani.

I used scotch tape. I regret not having longer nails to make a larger design!
