OPI - Over the Taupe

Hey there!!

OPI's Over the Taupe, is in fact the first OPI polish that I have ever bought. It was a few years ago!
I 'd been looking for this kind of taupe for a while, and when I saw that OPI made the perfect one, I knew I had to get it. At that time, OPI wasn't available everywhere in France. Only some Sephora stores were selling it. And that's where I found it! Too bad they were a little pricy. And they still are. I don't know why but here in France, an OPI polish costs about 14€ (18$). Pretty expensive, isn't it?
But, this is the perfect taupe!! Not too light and not too dark. I made a little stamping over it using my Konad M70 plate and Joy from China Glaze.

What about you? What was your first OPI polish?

#TheSundayNailBattle - Back to School Nails

This week's theme for the Sunday Nail Battle is "Back to school Nails".

I've been thinking about what I was going to do for a while and I first wanted to draw some lines on my nails to do a kind of lined paper effect.
But as I was preparing my stuff to do the mani, I remembered that there was another course at school where we had to use a different kind of lined paper, which was music.

So here's what I did :

Can't wait to see the ideas people had for this battle!!

Good luck for those of you who are going back to school!

Kiko Cosmetics - Holographic Nail Lacquer - Jewel Pink

Hey there!

How are you going? Hope everything's fine for you girls!

I already told you how much I loved Kiko's Magnetic nail polishes and when I saw that for their Lavish Oriental collection, they had holographic nail polishes, I felt like I had to get them! When I saw the swatches on some other blogs, I fell in love with the 401 - Peacock Green and the 402 - Jewel Pink. I even asked my brother to buy them for me in Paris, to be sure to have them!! But when I went to Kiko's store in Rennes (next to where I live), and when I saw the two other colors which are the 399 - Silk Taupe and the 400 - Steel Grey, well I didn't resist long, and I bought them. And now I have all of these wonderful polishes! And I love them!!

Aren't these colors gorgeous??
Today we're going to start with the 402 - Jewel Pink. This holographic pink is outstanding! You don't need to apply a specific base before applying this polish (like the aqua base..). I used my standard Essie protein base. Only two coats are necessary to have a nice coverage!

I love how this polish catches the light!! I can't stop looking at my nails!
I decided to try some stamping with the 399 - Silk Taupe and here's the result :

Perfect!! All of these holographic work perfectly for stamping, it's pretty awesome no?
I'm definitely in love with these new polishes and they're totally worth the price : only 4,90€ each.

Did you buy any of these holographic polishes? Do you like the result?

Kiko - Copper Red

I already told you about how cool Kiko's magnetic nail polishes were! I also told you how I regretted not buying the red one... Well now I got it! It was the last one on the shelf of the Kiko store we went in with my sister and I'm so glad I have it.
The color is as I had imagined it :

I couldn't resist trying some stamping on it. I chose a zebra design that I think goes well with the magnetic stripes And here it is :

What do you think about it? I love it!!

Cubic Nails

I recently discovered that I had lost my M73 stamping plate. I don't think it's lost, I'm sure that my cat stole it from me to give his paws a nice stamped manicure while I'm at work!
So I re-bought it on a french Konad retailer's website which is Bec & Ongles and where the prices are almost the same (cheaper in fact) as on Konad's website konadnailart.com. And no fake Konad on this site, guaranteed !

Here's the design I chose to stamp on my nails :

If Bec & Ongles doesn't ship to your country, do not hesitate to contact them, maybe they'll find a solution :) Currently they ship to France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Spain :)

And as I told you, I don't know why but I'm sure my cat can be held responsible for the missing plate!!
